Research Hints:

If you're working on a research project, start with one of these online encyclopedias for general information on your topic. Read about your topic before you select subtopics.

Use text clues (headings, boldfaced print, italics, spacing, etc.) to help you understand the organization of an encyclopedia article. Text clues can also help you select subtopics.

Don't forget to look at the photos, illustrations, charts, graphs, and tables included in the article.

Check the end of the article. Somes you will find bibliography information, an outline, author information, or "See also" references.

Encyclopedia Britannica
