Girls on the Run

Girls on the Run is a national learning program aimed "to educate and prepare girls for a lifetime of self-respect and healthy living." The program's goals are centered on good health, friendship, positive self-image and self-esteem.

Summit began offering Girls on the Run in fall 2007. The response has been so positive that the program will be offered again in the spring. Girls on the Run is for 4th, 5th, and 6th grade girls, and it meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:15-4:30. The 12-week curriculum is $125.00 per girl. There are at least two coaches for every 15 girls. Please contact Angel Moore or Lucinda Jones for more information.
